AUDITION TIP | How To Know What Casting Directors Want At Your Callback…Without Being Psychic

Get out the crystal ball…

Because if you’re not psychic, your acting career may be in trouble…

At least that’s how it feels when it comes to knowing what Casting Directors want from you in the audition room sometimes, right?…

Or more specifically at your callback.

ESPECIALLY a callback! (You'll see what I mean when you watch the video below…)

Because if you’re getting a callback from a prior audition (whether it be a live pre-read or a self-taped audition) that means you’re one step closer to hearing your favorite phrase ever

“You booked it!”

That’s why it’s really important that you know what Casting Directors want.  You don’t want to blow an awesome booking opportunity that you just earned because you didn't have the skinny on what they're expecting of you, right?

If only you could hack into a Casting Director’s mind and find out everything they’re looking for so you can deliver it at your callback.

Sadly, right now, the technology doesn’t exist to hack in to some magical database of all Casting Director brains to get your answers.

But that’s why you have me.  :-)

Let's start hacking

In this video, you'll get the answer to:

What Do Casting Directors Want To See At Your Callback & Why?

CLICKTOTWEETTHISVIDEO

That was a simple tip to execute, right.  You can do that easily.

That's why I find it so interesting, from my experience in casting, how often really talented actors blow it in a callback by NOT doing what you just learned.

And the most important thing I want you to take away from this video audition tip was the WHY.

Yes, the audition tip itself is super important.  All the acting and audition tips I give you are.  But, the power of each and every golden nugget you get from my videos and blogs is in its WHY.

Once you understand the WHY of what Casting Directors want to see in your callback (or anything else for that matter), you have power.

Understanding the framework of a Casting Director’s thinking can allow you to stand in their shoes and see the world as they see it for a moment.

Can you see the power in that?

The truth is, most actors don't take the time to learn this stealth move.

And that's where this gets even more powerful for you (and why I'm hammering you a bit on this point.)

When you make a choice to learn how Casting Directors think, by reverse engineering something as seemingly simple as how to give them what they want at a callback (using what you learned in the video), you can use this process to give yourself an “unfair” advantage, now and in the future — each time you have an encounter with a Casting Director.

That’s power.

REMEMBER:  You have the power to move your acting career forward in ways you haven't even imagined yet.

And isn’t the feeling of power over your acting career so much more appealing than the alternative?

Good.

Because that’s what these audition tips are all about — whether we're talking about an easy-to-implement tip like this one or something a little more complicated like this one about breaking patterns in your audition, or understanding how to crush it in your audition even when they throw a curveball at you in the room…

All my blogs, videos and trainings are about empowering you to be in the driver’s seat of your acting career by leveraging my experience as a Casting Director.

In fact, I have a free online training coming up on how you can create outstanding auditions that get more callbacks where you'll get even more of this kind of “inside a Casting Director's head” info about auditioning.  Click here to register now and join me on the training.

Yep. Very true AJB. I had a callback just yesterday for a commercial. The Director was at the callback and said, “We love your look and we love what you did at the audition… BUT… we want you to do it again THIS WAY…” http://www.imdb.me/davidcalhounVI
