As the former Vice President of Casting at HBO for 14+ years, Amy managed the casting for 150+ films, mini-series, pilots and series, and her casts have won countless Emmy and Golden Globe awards.

Here's what some of our past attendees had to say about this event...

“After attending this seminar, I feel super excited about auditioning! I’m very lucky. I’ve been coaching with Amy for about a year and to spend time with her, whether it’s career counseling, audition coaching, or something like this class, it is so valuable because you get to watch her work with other actors…You learn so, so much.” - Yasmin K.

“Having worked with Amy for a while, most of that self-doubt is pretty much expunged thanks to her…Although my gut told me that Amy was everything I saw on the web, being in the room with her is wonderful. You know, sometimes you can admire someone you know from media who you've never really met and when you’re finally face-to-face with them they're disappointing. If anything, I feel more strongly about Amy and what she offers in a positive way.” - James B.

“Before signing up for this event, I was struggling with my transitions. You know, how to get from A to B…Attending [Audition Rockstar Live] impacted what I'm going to do from now on…I’m going to bring to my auditions more ease and more confidence with what I've learned from Amy Jo Berman, and just bring it by being an Unstoppable Actor. An Unstoppable Rockstar!” - Cornell A.

“It was awesome. I’ve been following Amy for a few years and I was so excited to see her live and her amazing energy and a lot of very, very helpful tips. I’m just so happy in this moment in my life to have such an energetic, beautiful, experienced teacher…Today I saw all my zones I have to work on, and Amy encourages you to face your faults and just work on it. I would recommend [this class] to any actor at any level.” - Lyana G.

“I've been doing classes with Amy online for just over a year now and whenever I hear her speak, she's speaking directly to me. Seeing her face- to-face today, working with the other students here and her notes and the way she was working with each student, was unique and it was very powerful…I just want to say thank you so much Amy. You are amazing and I'm so glad you came into my life because my audition techniques and everything has been enhanced.” - Don A.

“I came in from Florida to be here. I’d already gotten so much information from Amy’s webinars and everything on how to really focus. But being here completely took it to a whole other level. Seeing the interaction, all the questions that came up in my mind and all of the camaraderie with other actors who are feeling the same way, and the way Amy gets it. That has been major for me here.” - Silvia M.

“It was important enough for me to fly to [Audition Rockstar Live] from Texas because I felt like being here live and seeing things would change my whole way of auditioning, my whole way of looking at just being an actor…Amy just makes everything so simple and so relatable and something that anyone can do and actually apply…There were just a lot of nuggets that she left with the class today. It’s priceless. It's worth everything that I've experienced so far on this trip.” - Taka V.

“Before I came to this event, it was tricky to be relaxed on the first take and Amy Jo really helped me find my ease and basically do the first take as though I were many takes into it. Amy Jo is really a great coach and has a wonderful way of honoring the creative artist before her. She really helps the actor not sabotage their higher gifts when walking in the room to get a job.” - Eric L.

“This impacted what I'll be doing for auditions in a major way. I feel much more relaxed about auditioning after this event. I feel much more equipped and much more confident. The main thing I was struggling with in auditions before coming [to Audition Rockstar Live] was just the ease and confidence that I can do this. I looked at the sides and I was like, ‘oh my god I have no idea what to do!’ I now know what to do. And Amy gives me the confidence to say, ‘you know what to do. Just do it.’ ” - John C.

Q: Will I be doing a scene?

This class will be taught as an interactive seminar-style class. Meaning, Amy will be sharing information with the class and then demonstrating how that information applies in a real audition situation, in a mock-audition format.

During the demonstrations of the feature film, episodic and pilot scenes, Amy will read with actors who were chosen in advance of the seminar to work on a scene for the purpose of illustrating the Audition Rockstar techniques. During the co-star role demonstrations, Amy will take volunteers from the class chosen at random.

Q: I Already attended "Audition Rockstar LIVE" before, why should I come to this one too?

As an actor, would you ever say, I went to acting class, why do I need to go again? Of course not! You know that your training as an actor is ongoing. You also know that when you work with great teachers, there's always new things to be learned.

Also, last time the event was a half-day event. This time it's a full day. That means more training, more time to dive deeper into what you need to know about auditioning, more time to add in some fun surprises too!

Q: I Already Have Amy's ONLINE "Audition Rockstar" program, why do I need to attend this seminar?

Amy specifically designed this live event so that whether you have the Audition Rockstar Master Class or not, you're getting a unique learning experience and another way to advance your audition skills.

The difference is...

The Audition Rockstar online master class is a comprehensive recorded video training series with 39 video lessons giving you a complete picture on how to build your audition from the foundation, to the specifics, to the in-the-room techniques to the follow up afterward.

The Audition Rockstar LIVE seminar, takes several of the key Audition Rockstar techniques from the online class and shows you how to apply them. You'll be watching actors LIVE, in the room, performing scenes, as I coaching them using Audition Rockstar techniques.

So, the online master class is virtual and you have to take what you're learning into your own auditions and classes and apply it on your own.

The LIVE event takes some of the key elements from the online class, but is more of an implementation experience, where you see how those techniques are applied to real life audition scenes.

The online program and the live event were designed to pair together and not be an either/or experience.

Q: I'm Not In Los Angeles...Shoud I Come In For This?

Actors flew from all over the country to be at our last event and this one will be no different. Why? Because every serious actor knows that if you want to hit the next level in your acting career, you're gonna need NEXT LEVEL audition skills - the kind that Amy has been showing professional actors how to master for years.

No matter where you are in the world, you're going to want to attend this special in-person audition skills event.

Q: What should I bring with me?

A few days before the event, you'll receive email with a link to a PDF packet of sides that you can download and review, in case you'd like to follow along and/or ask questions about them during the mock-audition sections of the class. So, feel free to bring any or all of those sides with you if you like.

You'll also want to have a pen, paper to take notes.

In addition, we recommend you bring a sweater or jacket, as sometimes the theatre can get pretty cool.

*Do not bring any promotional materials (like headshots and resumes). This seminar is for instructional purposes only and not an opportunity to audition or be cast.

Q: I'm Newer To Acting, Is This Event For Me?

While this is NOT a beginning audition training, you'll find that as a newer actor this event will be incredibly helpful to your development as a professional in this industry.

Instead of learning bad audition habits it may take you years to UN-learn, you'll understand what's expected of you in professional auditions. You'll also learn how to create the skills and habits that will have you auditioning at a professional level right off the bat so you can hit the ground running in your acting career.

Q: I've Been Auditioning For A While, Should I Attend This Seminar Anyway?

As an experienced actor, you, more than anyone else, know that a professional actor NEVER stops training. And no matter how many auditions you've done, how many credits you have, you know that there is always another level to reach with your performance and your acting career.

That's why it's vital that you fill in any gaps (major or minor) in your audition training. Even one small tweak or one tiny detail can be just the thing you need to increase your callback and booking ratio and hit the next level.

So, choosing to attend is a slam dunk, no-brainer for any professional actor who's serious about working more and learning the insider knowledge to make that happen.

Q: Is This Class Appropriate For My Child Actor?

While this class is not specifically designed for the child actor, the curriculum is absolutely appropriate and will be extremely valuable for any professional film or TV actor age 12 or older. We recommend that any actor under the age of 16 purchase a second ticket for their parent or guardian to accompany them.

Q: Where Should I Park?

There's plenty of available parking around the theatre. In your pre-event emails, we will give you some suggestions for easy parking, close by.
